Khraishi • خريشي

This site is dedicated to the family tree of Al-Khraishi (Khreishi, Khraisha, Khraisheh) - Thinaba - Tulkarm - Palestine.

Tulkarm is a Palestinian city and the capital of Tulkarm Governorate. It is located in the northwest of the West Bank. It is the third largest city in the West Bank in terms of area and population after the cities of Hebron and Nablus. It is considered a border city adjacent to the 1948 cease-fire line.

Thinaba is the first adjacent village to Tulkarm on the road to Nablus, and it is inhabited among other families by the Al-Khraishi family, noting that there is a group of them living in Jayyous.

The first appearance of the family in Dhanaba was in the person of Khaled Al-Khraisha. There are two versions of its origin, which are either that it belongs to Khirbet al-Khraisha, and there is multiple historical mentions of Shams al-Din Muhammad bin Ahmed bin Salem al-Khraishi al-Hanbali, who died in 1001 AH. What is interesting here is that the family here is Hanbali, and it is not the dominant school of thought in Palestine or Tulkarm.

The most likely possibility is that Khalid is the son of Suleiman Ibn Hanif Muhammad Ibn Saleem (nicknamed Al-Khraisha) Al-Salem from Bani Sakhr. The lineage of Bani Sakhr was confirmed by Sheikh Haditha Al-Khraisha when he visited Thinaba when the founding prince visited the city. The reason for this opinion to prevail is that the date of Khaled Al-Khraisha's arrival in Thinaba coincides with the French campaign of Napoleon in Palestine. What is proven historically is that the tribes of Bani Sakhr stood with the Ottoman governor of Damascus in defense of Palestine against the French.

This Suleiman is referred to in the famous saying, "The word of Al-Khraisha is followed." What further reinforces his lineage is that the name Suleiman is unusually repeated in the family tree, more so than any other name (including the name Khalid).

وطولكرم هي مدينة فلسطينية وعاصمة مركز محافظة طولكرم، وتقع في شمال غرب الضفة الغربية، وهي ثالث أكبر مدينة في الضفة الغربية مساحةً وسكاناً بعد مدينتي الخليل ونابلس وتعتبر مدينة حدودية محاذية لخط وقف النار عام ١٩٤٨

وذنابة هي أول قرية محاذية لطولكرم على الطريق لنابلس وهي التي تقطنها عائلة الخريشة مع عائلات أخرى عديدة، علما بان هناك فخذ من الخريشة يعيش بجيوس

وأول ظهور للعائلة بذنابة كان بشخص خالد الخريشة. وهناك روايتين لأصله وهما اما أنه يعود لخربة الخريشة وهناك ذكر لشمس الدين محمد بن أحمد بن سالم الخريشي الحنبلي، المتوفى سنة 1001هجرية. والمثير للاهتمام هنا أن العائلة هنا حنبلية وهو ليس المذهب السائد بفلسطين أو طولكرم

والاحتمال الذي يبدو الأكبر هو أن خالد هو ابن سليمان ابن حنيف محمد بن سليم (الملقب بالخريشة) السالم من بني صخر. والنسب لبني صخر أكده الشيخ حديثة الخريشة بزيارته لذنابة عند زيارة الأمير المؤسس للمدينة. والسبب بالتغليب لهذا الرأي هو أن تاريخ وصول خالد الخريشة لذنابة يتزامن مع الحملة الفرنسية لنابليون على فلسطين. والمثبت تاريخيا هو أن قبائل بني صخر وقفت مع والي دمشق دفاعا عن فلسطين أمام الفرنسيين

وسليمان هذا هو المعني بالمقولة المشهورة "كلمة الخريشة متبوعة." ومما يعزز النسب اليه هو أن اسم سليمان يتكرر بصورة غير معتادة ضمن شجرة العائلة، وبصورة أكبر من اسم الجد خالد
